SPRY Joins ModMed SynapSYS Marketplace to Streamline Referral-to-Payment Workflows for Rehab and Specialty Clinics

(ModMed®) is now live on the ModMed SynapSYS Marketplace, enabling therapy practices and orthopedic and multi-specialty groups to securely synchronize clinical and financial workflows between the two systems.

The interface connects ModMed’s EHR with SPRY’s therapy-specific automation platform, allowing patient demographics, referrals, insurance coverage, and charge data to flow securely and efficiently between systems. This reduces redundant data entry, improves billing accuracy, and accelerates reimbursement cycles—supporting a smoother handoff between referring physicians and therapy providers.

Once documentation is completed, charge items are securely pushed back to ModMed using FHIR-based endpoints, ensuring accurate billing and audit-ready records.

The integration adheres to HIPAA and FHIR interoperability standards and supports encrypted data exchange, role-based access controls, audit tracking, and secure authentication. SPRY utilizes ModMed endpoints for appointments, patients, practitioners, coverage, charge items, and documentation references—enabling real-time, bidirectional data flow from referral through reimbursement.

This capability is particularly valuable for orthopedic and multi-specialty organizations that operate in-house therapy departments. Clinics can continue using ModMed as their primary EHR while leveraging SPRY’s rehab-specific workflows for scheduling, documentation, home exercise programs (HEP), and revenue operations—without duplicating data or disrupting existing processes.
